About Jason Brammer
Jason Brammer is a Chicago-based visual artist known for his murals, site-specific installations, distinctive paintings, and mixed media hand-painted assemblages. The artist’s murals and other works have been commissioned by prominent clients such as LinkedIn, Hulu, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Shedd Aquarium, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Jimmy Chamberlin (of The Smashing Pumpkins), and the band My Morning Jacket. Brammer’s art has also been exhibited in numerous prestigious venues, including the Hangaram Design Museum (Seoul, South Korea), 751 D-Park (Beijing, China), The Union League Club of Chicago, La Luz De Jesus Gallery (Los Angeles), Linda Warren Projects (Chicago), the Rockford Art Museum, Governors State University, SCOPE Miami Beach, and Museo Internazionale Italia Arte (Turin, Italy).
Jason Brammer was born in 1974 in Lancaster, Ohio and grew up primarily in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has painted and drawn since childhood, and has been a professional, working artist for over 20 years. He studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA and at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, but his current work has evolved mainly from years of independent practice and experimentation. He currently resides in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood with his wife Erin and two cats, and has a private storefront studio in Humboldt Park.
