Alchemical Drums for The Smashing Pumpkins

Jimmy Chamberlin, the legendary drummer for The Smashing Pumpkins, has commissioned several custom painted drum kits for their recent tours. This is the latest one with an alchemical theme influenced by the artwork of Hieronymus Bosch. Completed July 2024.

Testimonial from Jimmy Chamberlin: “This is a very special instrument. The artwork inspires the music every time I play it. Hours of discussion and image sharing go into every kit that we do. We start with a general concept like “Alchemy” or “Hermetics” and start to riff. Over the course of weeks, sometimes months we start to zero in on what exactly it will be. I keep it loose with Jason because I trust his skill and his ability to translate the feeling of what we are trying to achieve to the kit. I want his input and it is certainly evident when you see the finished product that he has an incredible gift. And I’m already thinking about the next one.”
